What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer — Integration to work on mobile chipset platform software. In this role you will help integrate drivers and peripheral software, diagnose system-level issues, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to meet performance and power targets.
- Interact with cross-functional software teams to verify and debug software stability issues and new features.
- Integrate and validate device drivers and peripheral software in platform images.
- Design and implement tools and build-system components used to produce multiple image flavors.
- Work closely with HW and Systems Engineering to ensure core platform software meets power and performance KPIs.
- Coordinate with program management and product leads to define software product roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and system-level debugging, including profiling and log analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field plus 2+ years of software engineering experience — or Master’s with 1+ year — or PhD.
- 2+ years programming experience in C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Hands-on experience in embedded software development and device drivers.
- Working knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and CPU architecture.
- Experience with build systems such as SCons or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience debugging across software/hardware boundaries.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with mobile chipset platforms or SoC integration.
- Familiarity with power/performance optimization on embedded platforms.
- Experience with automated test frameworks and image generation pipelines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $111,300 - $166,900 per year.
