What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a product development team focused on industrial Level and Pressure instrumentation. You will focus on integration, testing, and verification of embedded firmware and connectivity features for safety‑critical process automation products.

• Integrate embedded software for Level and Pressure products used in industrial process automation
• Define software component and test specifications
• Write and execute automated and manual test cases for embedded firmware features
• Debug firmware and hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, SWD, and similar tools
• Automate tests using C#, Python, or similar scripting languages
• Test and validate communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, etc.)
• Perform regression, validation, and release testing on firmware
• Integrate embedded tests into CI/CD pipelines, including static analysis and MISRA/functional-safety checks
• Drive digitalization efforts: support industrial Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth and cloud connectivity integration
• Review embedded code and propose C++ solutions even when not owner of large feature work
• Document test results and collaborate closely with firmware, hardware and sensor engineers to identify and resolve defects

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience (entry-level candidates with internship/embedded SQA experience are also considered)
• 0–3+ years experience in embedded software development or embedded software QA (senior candidates with 3+ years preferred)
• Strong C/C++ skills (C++11/14/17) — experience with C# and/or Python a plus
• Solid understanding of memory, interrupts, GPIO, timers/PWM, and bootloaders
• Experience with MCUs, RTOS, and embedded system architecture
• Familiarity with version control workflows (Git/GitLab preferred)
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and validation on development boards, sensors and actuators
• Knowledge of test‑driven development, static analysis, and MISRA or other functional-safety practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills; comfortable working in multicultural, cross‑functional teams
