Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer — Entry‑Level to join an engineering team in Robertson, MO. This 100% onsite role contributes to embedded software that integrates with specialized hardware for safety‑critical and regulated systems. You will work on C++ code, CI/CD/DevOps practices, testing and debugging, and help translate customer requirements into robust embedded solutions.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with the design, development, testing, debugging and maintenance of embedded software for specialized hardware
  • Translate customer requirements into embedded software designs and implementation tasks
  • Write and integrate C++ code for embedded systems and support hardware/software integration
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and promote DevOps/DevSecOps practices for reliable delivery
  • Support software verification, test plans, and debugging efforts to improve stability and performance
  • Help evaluate and adopt tools, frameworks, and process improvements aligned with industry and regulatory standards
  • Track and report on software team performance and help ensure compliance with project plans

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering, computer science, or related STEM field
  • 1+ year developing software in C++
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and basic DevOps practices
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (post‑start) and required program access
  • Must meet U.S. export control requirements (U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62)

Preferred / Helpful Experience

  • Coursework or internships in embedded systems, real‑time software, or hardware interfacing
  • Experience with embedded toolchains, debuggers, and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Exposure to automated testing, build pipelines, or DevSecOps workflows
  • Interest in safety‑critical or regulated industry software development

Location & Work Model

  • This position is 100% onsite in Robertson, MO. The selected candidate must be able to work onsite at the listed location.

Security, Export Controls & Eligibility

  • This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship will be required for clearance and certain program access.
  • To meet export control requirements, applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Summary pay range for Entry‑level (Level 1): $78,200 - $105,800 per year.
  • Confidential Client offers a Total Rewards package that may include health benefits, retirement plans, flexible spending, and paid time off. Specific programs and eligibility vary by hire date and location.
  • Relocation may be available based on candidate eligibility.
