What You’ll Do
This role supports aircraft modifications, electrical design activities, and embedded software for avionics systems. You’ll work across data analysis, diagnostic tool development, and sustaining engineering to improve aircraft reliability and maintainability.
- Support electrical design and embedded software engineering for aircraft modification and alteration projects
- Develop, maintain, and enhance aircraft diagnostic and data management tools
- Create and sustain aircraft configuration data (CMF) and related engineering artifacts
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, aircraft data analysis and root cause corrective actions (RCCA)
- Develop, test, and maintain firmware and software solutions that support aircraft systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Support upgrade initiatives and implement engineering solutions identified through analysis
Key Responsibilities
- Embedded software development and coding for avionics/electrical systems
- Aircraft diagnostic tool development, test automation, and data processing
- Advanced system-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Electrical design support for modifications and sustaining engineering changes
- Configuration management and version control of software and engineering data
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience in embedded software engineering, avionics, electrical systems, or related fields
- Strong coding skills (C/C++ preferred) and experience with software testing and debugging
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated experience performing RCCA
- Experience with configuration management tools (Git, SVN, or TFS) and SDLC practices
Preferred Technical Skills
- C/C++ embedded development experience
- Experience in Linux development environments
- Familiarity with MATLAB or similar engineering/data tools
- Prior experience with avionics, aircraft systems, or aerospace projects
- Experience building diagnostic/test tools and data analysis pipelines
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with aircraft configuration data (CMF) processes
- Familiarity with supplier coordination and cross-functional engineering workflows
- Knowledge of performance analysis and data-driven reliability improvements
