What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s Electronic Design Automation (EDA) team is hiring early-career software engineers to help build Agentic AI and software tools for semiconductor design and verification. You will contribute to components used across high‑performance systems, collaborating with hardware and software teams to accelerate chip development.
- Develop and maintain EDA tools for synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and verification.
- Implement efficient algorithms and large-scale software systems in object-oriented languages.
- Design, train, and integrate Agentic and GenAI solutions to automate chip-design workflows.
- Write maintainable code, unit tests, and documentation; participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate across disciplines (architecture, verification, software) to deliver production-ready tools.
Who You Are (Required Qualifications)
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with object-oriented languages such as C++, Java, or Rust.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages for tooling and automation.
- Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and digital logic fundamentals.
- Coursework or project experience with AI, machine learning, or agent engineering.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced engineering environments and eager to learn new technologies.
Preferred Experience
- MS or PhD in a relevant technical field.
- Familiarity with computer architecture, microarchitecture, VLSI, or semiconductor design.
- Hands-on experience with logic design, functional verification, synthesis, place-and-route, or timing analysis.
- Experience developing GenAI or Agentic AI systems and integrating ML frameworks into engineering tools.
- Proficiency developing and debugging software in Linux environments and using version control systems.
Location & Employment Type
This is a full-time position located in Poughkeepsie, AR (on-site or as required by the Confidential Client). Employment will be with the Confidential Client; Careertakes is supporting the recruitment.
