What You’ll Do

This Confidential Client is hiring an Electronics Technician (Contract to Hire) to diagnose, repair, and validate precision test and measurement electronics. You will perform component-level troubleshooting, execute functional testing, and support production and engineering teams with failure analysis.

  • Perform root-cause analysis of electronic failures on complex test and measurement products.
  • Read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams to isolate faults.
  • Troubleshoot down to the component level using structured logic and systematic approaches.
  • Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital multimeters (DMMs), power supplies, and logic analyzers to validate and verify repairs.
  • Execute post-repair functional and performance tests to confirm compliance with product specifications.
  • Use historical failure data and internal diagnostics to guide repair decisions.
  • Support production floor and engineering teams with technical evaluations, calibration, and failure analysis.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications the Confidential Client seeks:

  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, passive and active components.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand circuit functionality.
  • Familiarity with common failure modes in electronic assemblies.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Associate’s degree, or Military Electronics experience accepted.
  • Excellent logical fault isolation, pattern recognition, and technical communication skills.

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Component-level soldering and circuit-board troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with product debugging, calibration, and test procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a production-support environment and collaborating with engineers.
  • Entry-level electrical engineers are encouraged to apply.

Job Details

  • Employment type: Contract to Hire
  • Location: Fully onsite — West Slope, OR (Confidential Client site)
  • Pay range: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour (final offer dependent on experience and other factors)
