What You’ll Do

This contract role supports a manufacturing team that builds and maintains precision test and measurement equipment. As an Electronics Technician you will troubleshoot, repair, and validate electronic assemblies down to the component level.

• Perform root-cause analysis on electronic failures of complex products.
• Read and interpret schematics, block diagrams and wiring diagrams to isolate faults.
• Troubleshoot to component level using structured diagnostic logic.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs, logic analyzers and bench power supplies to test and validate repairs.
• Execute functional and performance tests to confirm devices meet specifications.
• Use historical failure data and internal diagnostics to inform repair decisions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support failure analysis and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For (Essential Skills)

• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits (passive and active components).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand circuit functionality.
• Familiarity with common failure modes in electronic assemblies.
• Proficiency with diagnostic instruments: oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, signal generator.
• Degree in Electronics (Bachelor’s preferred) — or Associates / military electronics experience.
• Attention to detail and methodical troubleshooting approach.

Additional Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience in device/equipment repair, calibration, debugging, or circuit-board level rework.
• Field service technician background with electronics troubleshooting.
• Clear technical communication skills for documenting findings and working with engineers.
• Comfortable in a clean, production/manufacturing environment.

Work Environment & Contract Details

• Onsite role in a manufacturing / clean work environment in Beaverton, MI.
• Start: 7-month contract with potential conversion to permanent after 12 months.
• New hires complete an electronics evaluation (component ID, schematic comprehension, basic circuit troubleshooting).
• Time off: 1 week PTO, 6 paid holidays, and sick leave (per client policy and billable details described by the client).

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour (actual offer depends on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors).
• If eligible, temporary-role benefits may include: medical, dental & vision; critical illness/accident/hospital plans; 401(k); voluntary life & AD&D; short- and long-term disability; HSA; transportation benefits; EAP; and paid time off. Benefits depend on job classification and length of employment.
