What You’ll Do
This entry‑level Electronic Systems Product Engineer role works on electronic and electrical systems for the confidential client’s engine, genset and vehicle platforms. You will translate product requirements into hardware and software technical requirements, build and validate system models, configure and tune controllers, and execute validation testing for fully integrated hardware/software systems.
- Investigate electronic application and system issues, identify root causes, recommend and implement corrective actions, and document results.
- Support and improve system development processes and tools (system specification, modeling & simulation, calibration, DVP&R, troubleshooting).
- Develop HIL (Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop) and puresim system simulation models across multiple platforms; integrate component models and manage interfaces.
- Run validation test cycles, analyze outcomes, and troubleshoot model/test behavior.
- Configure (tune) control features and support product life maintenance tools and processes.
- Work with customers, product teams, manufacturing, and suppliers to inform product decisions and tradeoffs.
- Own problem resolution for moderately complex components and subsystems; coordinate technicians or student resources as needed.
- Contribute to cross‑functional product design reviews and maintain technical documentation.

- Design and application of mechatronic systems, including sensor/actuator selection and electronic interconnections

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an appropriate STEM field (MS preferred — the original posting indicates MS in EE or ME preferred).
- Entry level / early career (typical eligibility: within 2 years of completing highest degree).
- Experience or coursework with modeling & simulation and control systems.
- Proficiency with one or more of: Python, MATLAB, Simulink, NI LabVIEW/TestStand.
- Basic knowledge of sensors/actuators, engine & genset systems, batteries, and electronic controls.
- Ability to develop machine/vehicle level models and apply co‑simulation techniques using emulators or hardware.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in EE or ME.
- Experience developing GT plant models and using CyberApps, PDAT.
- Working knowledge of CAN/J1939, MODBUS, Ethernet datalinks.
- Hands‑on experience with HIL test benches and system validation.
- Prior internship, co‑op, or student employment experience in a related technical discipline.
Eligibility & Logistics

- Work location: On‑site with flexibility — Seymour, Indiana (expected on‑site presence with some flexibility as required).
- Start date: January 2027 (as listed).

Compensation
