Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Electronic Systems Product Engineer (Entry Level) to join their engineering team in Seymour, IN. This role focuses on mechanical integration, design, verification, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware for power systems products (sensors, control units, harnesses, panels, support structures). The position is full-time, exempt, and offers relocation assistance.
What You’ll Do
This is an early-career engineering role working on the mechanical integration and validation of electronic hardware for power systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Investigate electronic application and systems problems; own resolution for moderately complex components and systems.
- Support and improve electronic systems development processes and tools (system specification, modeling & simulation, calibration, DVP&R, troubleshooting).
- Apply simulation, calibration, and product-life maintenance tools; interpret results to inform product decisions.
- Coordinate with customers, product teams, manufacturing engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver technical recommendations.
- Make technical decisions that affect design, requirements, calibration, and testing of calibrated features and components.
- Develop and execute validation plans; evaluate analytical, simulation, and physical test results.
- Translate stakeholder needs into verifiable system requirements; track requirement status through the product lifecycle.
- Create technical documentation to capture design intent, test results, and recommended actions.
- Collaborate across functions, participate in design reviews, and contribute to process improvement.
- May direct or coordinate technicians or temporary staff; role does not include direct people management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an appropriate STEM field (Master’s preferred for some roles).
- Early-career / entry-level: within 2 years of completing highest degree.
- Knowledge of Creo (including Creo Cabling), Windchill, and MS Office tools is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of systems thinking, mechatronics, and open/closed-loop control concepts.
- Ability to analyze technical data using descriptive statistics, regression, ANOVA, and design of experiments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences.
- Ability to work on-site in Seymour, IN with flexibility as required.
Preferred / Helpful Experience
- Hands-on experience from internships, co-ops, student employment, or early-career roles in product development, systems integration, or test engineering.
- Familiarity with calibration workflows, simulation tools, and DVP&R processes.
- Experience documenting technical work and participating in cross-functional design integration.
Compensation & Logistics
- Estimated salary range: $94,308 — $122,492 per year.
- Relocation package: Yes (details to be provided by the client).
- Start timeframe: Nov/Dec 2026 (approximate).
- Work model: On-site with flexibility (not 100% remote).
