Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electrical Test Engineer I to join the AI&T team supporting the TeraWave satellite communications program in Denver, CO. This hands-on role supports electrical verification activities (continuity checks, interface tests, data bus verification) under the mentorship of senior test engineers. You'll gain practical spacecraft/electronics test experience and help enable high-rate satellite production.
Responsibilities
- Execute electrical test procedures under supervision and record results accurately.
- Assist with bench and test-equipment setup for electrical test campaigns; perform pre-test and post-test equipment checks.
- Document anomalies clearly and escalate off-nominal observations to senior engineers.
- Support incorporation of red-line markups and documentation updates after test execution.
- Maintain ESD compliance, bench cleanliness, FOD prevention, and configuration accountability.
- Support test readiness gate preparations: hardware inventories, configuration verification, and test setup checklists.
- Participate in test briefings, anomaly reviews, and lessons-learned sessions.
- Learn and develop competency in electrical test methods, GSE operation, and data interpretation under mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant hands-on experience (electrical test, electronics lab work, hardware verification); internships/co-ops accepted.
- Basic familiarity with electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies).
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed technical procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data recording.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience testing spacecraft, satellites, or complex electronic systems.
- Familiarity with data bus protocols (CAN, SpaceWire, RS-422) from coursework or lab work.
- Basic Python or scripting experience; interest in test automation.
- Experience handling ESD-sensitive electronics.
- Academic or project experience with embedded systems, avionics, or spacecraft subsystems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay Range (Colorado): $74,537.00 - $104,351.10 per year.
- (Note: other site ranges may differ. Washington range listed in source: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85.)
