What You’ll Do
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Project Manager I (Electrical Project Manager) to support small-scale electrical projects in Carmel, IN. This onsite, full-time role focuses on building core project management skills while assisting senior PMs to deliver safe, on-budget work.
- Assist senior project managers with scheduling meetings, milestones, and task tracking
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain project documentation and basic progress reports
- Support project estimating: gather data and perform basic takeoffs
- Coordinate minor logistics (equipment reservations, site prep) and manage project communications
- Maintain organized project files and ensure data accuracy
- Follow site safety protocols, report safety issues, and support regulatory compliance (NEC/OSHA)
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Act as a point of contact for assigned tasks on small projects and escalate issues appropriately
- Perform additional duties as needed to support team goals and project success
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
- 0–2 years of project coordination, construction support, or related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform required physical tasks safely
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or related field
- Experience with estimating, quoting, or basic takeoff processes
- Familiarity with electrical drawings and specifications (training provided)
- Experience using project management or estimating software
- Knowledge of NEC standards and OSHA safety requirements
- Experience working with cross-functional project teams

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $75,000 – $100,000 per year (salary/exempt)

Travel & Work Location
- Location: Carmel, IN (onsite)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

- Climbing ladders and staircases; standing, walking, sitting for extended periods
- Bending, stooping, crawling, and working in confined or awkward positions
- Working outdoors in varied weather conditions when needed
- Performing precision tasks and operating vehicles or equipment safely

Confidential Client provides engineering and electrical services across upgrades, retrofits, refurbishment, testing, and related field services. As part of an experienced team, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to power and electrical projects while developing toward a Level 2 Project Manager role.
