What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electrical (FPGA) Engineer (Engineer 1) to join an onsite engineering team in Melbourne, FL. You will contribute to FPGA/ASIC/MPSoC digital design, verification, and certification activities.
- Perform requirements capture, decomposition, and traceability for digital designs.
- Contribute to ASIC/FPGA/MPSoC digital architecture development and design.
- Develop RTL and verification code and run simulations using VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
- Create test cases and test procedures for verification environments.
- Implement placement and timing constraints; run synthesis, place-and-route flows.
- Perform static timing analysis, linting, logic equivalence checks (LEC), and clock-domain-crossing analysis.
- Support verification using inspection, analysis, simulation, and lab test methods.
- Assist in creation of DO-254 design assurance artifacts for Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH).
Qualifications — Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline completed prior to start.
- Experience writing RTL and testbenches in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog (coursework, projects, or on-the-job).
- Familiarity with FPGA toolchains (examples: Questasim, Vivado, Libero, Synplify Pro).
- Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting; knowledge of C/C++, Python, and/or Perl.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with supervision.
Qualifications — Preferred
- Experience with DO-254 processes or design assurance activities for ASIC/FPGA/MPSoC.
- Familiarity with common data interfaces (PCIe, DDR, I2C, Ethernet, CAN, ARINC-429, etc.).
- Prior experience on aerospace or safety-critical projects is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 — $108,800 USD per year.
- Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, parental leave, and other programs dependent on the business unit and employment terms.
