About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electrical Engineering New Graduate for their Anaheim Hills, CA office to support design, analysis, and implementation oversight of building electrical systems. This full-time, in-office position provides hands-on project work, structured mentoring, and training to develop consulting and technical skills on healthcare and MEP projects.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in design and analysis of electrical building systems (power distribution, lighting, emergency power, low voltage).
- Produce drawings, calculations, specifications, and code-compliant documentation using engineering software.
- Support project delivery as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team.
- Help plan and track project schedules and budgets.
- Document design decisions and client direction; prepare meeting notes and design submittals.
- Communicate with clients to gather requirements and present technical information clearly.
- Analyze low- to medium-complexity engineering tasks and propose solutions with senior guidance.
- Participate in quality control and peer review processes to meet firm and industry standards.
- Contribute to research and innovation, staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- Prioritize safety and help identify/mitigate electrical system risks.
- Travel occasionally (up to 5%) for client or project needs.
What You’ll Bring
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification or equivalent.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Fundamental knowledge of circuit theory, power systems, lighting, and electronics as applied to building systems.
- Familiarity with lighting photometric tools (AGI, ElumTools, Visual Lighting, or similar).
- Familiarity with energy compliance tools (ComCheck) and PDF/mark-up tools (Adobe, Bluebeam Revu).
- Basic experience or familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.
Preferred
- Prior internship or co-op experience in building design consulting.
- Active or progressing toward EIT license.
Team & Projects
- Work with a team focused on healthcare and MEP projects including hospital renovations, research facilities, and technical building systems.
- Exposure to coordinated inpatient-support systems, central plants, emergency power systems, low-voltage and specialized healthcare infrastructure.

California Salary Range: $83,000 – $87,000 per year
This range represents the base pay the Confidential Client reasonably expects to pay for this position in the identified location at time of posting. Final compensation will consider experience, education, skills, and licensure. Other rewards may include bonuses and equity or ownership programs where applicable.
