What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer Trainee to support plant operations at a manufacturing facility in East Greenville, PA. This role provides hands-on technical training and mentorship while helping maintain safe, efficient production.

  • Assist senior engineers with troubleshooting and maintaining plant electrical systems and production equipment
  • Support PLC checks, motor control diagnostics, and basic automation adjustments
  • Help perform electrical inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Document maintenance activities and update schematics and technical records
  • Participate in reliability and safety improvement projects to reduce downtime
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to support production schedules
  • Follow all electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
  • Participate in training programs to build engineering competencies and technical skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Industrial electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation
  • Support for PLC fundamentals and basic ladder logic review
  • Assist with motor controls, drives, and starter systems
  • Read and reference electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks and basic instrumentation checks
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and CMMS records
  • Support root cause analysis efforts under supervision

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (in progress or completed)
  • Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems and motor controls
  • Familiarity with PLCs and automation concepts
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Willingness to pursue EIT/FE if not already in progress
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic CMMS use
  • Strong safety mindset, good communication, and a collaborative attitude

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Some hands-on maintenance or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to motor drives, VFDs, or industrial instrumentation
  • Experience reading and updating electrical schematics
  • Prior use of preventive maintenance systems or reliability projects

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year (salary range provided by Confidential Client)
  • Employment type: Full-time (Internship opportunities may apply per posting)

Location & Work Environment
