What You’ll Do

This is a 06+ month contract (hybrid) opportunity based in Tempe, AZ. You’ll support test, integration, and maintenance activities for electronic test equipment and control systems in a collaborative engineering environment.

• Support the design, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of electronic test equipment and control systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical systems, resolving hardware and software issues
• Read, interpret, modify, and redline electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Support system integration, verification, and validation testing activities
• Configure and maintain instrumentation, data acquisition hardware, sensors, controls, and communication interfaces
• Develop, modify, or maintain software tools for test automation, data acquisition, and system control
• Maintain configuration control of software, test procedures, and engineering documentation
• Analyze test data, document results, and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams under the guidance of senior engineers

Who We’re Looking For

Confidential Client seeks an entry-level to early-career Electrical Engineer or Test Engineer (0–2 years experience, including internships/co-ops) who is technically curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both hardware and software in lab/test settings.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Comfortable following documented procedures and working within configuration control practices

Qualifications & Technical Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, lab/test engineering)
• Ability to read, interpret, and update electrical schematics
• Experience or exposure to:
  • cRIO, PXI, PLC systems, AIO/DIO, GPIB, RS-422, CAN
  • AC/DC power supplies, relays, sensors, control systems
  • Test & measurement equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems
  • Software/automation: NI LabVIEW, VeriStand, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, Ladder Logic, Arduino
• Experience supporting test automation, instrumentation, or systems integration activities is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour (contract)

• Location: Tempe, AZ (Hybrid)
• This role requires presence in the Tempe area; some remote/hybrid work may be allowed per the client’s policy
