What You’ll Do
You will join a growing, engineering-driven team supporting design, development, and implementation of electrical and control solutions for industrial and commercial customers. This role is hands-on and cross-functional — you'll work with engineers, project managers, manufacturing and operations teams to deliver projects from concept through installation and commissioning.
- Develop electrical designs, schematics and wiring diagrams with clear, accurate technical documentation.
- Create and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD tools to meet project requirements.
- Support integration and implementation of electrical and control systems on customer projects.
- Participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback, and iterate designs to meet safety and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during installation, commissioning, and production; propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project management, manufacturing, operations) to meet milestones.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that increase design quality and engineering efficiency.
- Engage with customers as needed to translate requirements into practical electrical and control solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to produce wiring diagrams and technical documentation with attention to detail.
- Understanding of electrical and control system integration in industrial or commercial environments.
- Familiarity with applying industry standards and applicable electrical codes to design work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
- Eagerness to learn and to develop a long-term technical career.
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience with 3D CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Internship or early-career experience in electrical design and engineering.
- 1–3+ years of experience in electrical design and system integration (industrial/commercial).
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle: design, CAD work, customer interaction, manufacturing support and execution.
- Interest in receiving mentorship from experienced engineering leaders and contributing to process improvements.

- Employment type: FULL_TIME
- Workplace: Fully onsite in South Bend, IN (South Bend, Indiana, 46601)
- Pay range: $33.65 - $65.00 per hour. Individual pay will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
