Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry‑Level Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of custom electrical solutions for industrial and commercial customers. This is a Contract-to-Hire, fully onsite role based in South Bend, IN. Strong candidates will have hands-on exposure to electrical design, AutoCAD, and collaborative project work across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Create and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other design software
• Support development and integration of electrical and control systems for customer projects
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, manufacturing, and operations teams to meet project objectives
• Apply industry standards, engineering principles, and applicable codes to design activities
• Participate in design reviews and implement revisions based on feedback
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during project execution
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives for engineering processes and product designs

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical drawings
• Solid foundation in electrical engineering principles and schematic reading
• Ability to develop, interpret, and document electrical designs and wiring diagrams
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred / Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Familiarity with 3D CAD platforms (Inventor, SolidWorks) preferred
• Internship or co-op experience focused on electrical design or engineering is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (onsite in South Bend, IN)
• Technical, mentorship-rich environment with exposure to full project lifecycle: design, CAD, customer interaction, manufacturing support, codes/standards, and execution

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $33.65 – $37.50 per hour (Contract-to-Hire)
