What You’ll Do

This role is for an Electrical Engineer based in Schaumburg, IL (6–12 month contract, possible extension) supporting digital subcircuit design, test, and validation for radio communication products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, manufacturing) to ensure designs meet functional and technical specifications and to help bring prototypes to production.

• Test, evaluate, and validate digital subcircuit-level designs to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and perform PCB layout reviews
• Operate oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, logic analyzers and other electronic test equipment to validate circuit performance
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and document findings clearly
• Implement and maintain Python-based test automation and data analysis scripts to speed validation cycles
• Support testing and evaluation of radio communication products and electronic assemblies
• Participate in project meetings, present technical findings, and support project milestones
• Maintain accurate engineering test documentation and follow established procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in digital circuit design, testing, or validation
• Proficiency reading schematics and reviewing PCB layouts
• Practical experience using oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, and common electronic test instruments
• Python programming experience for test automation or data analysis (required)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with radio communication products or RF electronics
• Familiarity with hardware validation & verification processes
• Previous use of Python for test automation and test-data analysis in a lab environment

• Duration: 6–12 months (possibility of extension)
