What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electrical Engineer (Radar) I with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. You’ll work on modeling & simulation (M&S) and system-level software for surface Navy radar and combat systems. Typical responsibilities include:
- Model and component integration into large-scale simulations
- Develop and maintain GUIs, analysis tools, and automation (build/test)
- Contribute to design and architecture, implement capabilities, and support testing and issue resolution
- Collaborate with radar system and M&S engineers across the team
- Port code between Windows and Linux environments
- Travel to Navy facilities in the Washington, DC area (up to ~5%)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field with strong programming foundation
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Java
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Qt and Microsoft Visual Studio
- Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux
- Interest in Navy AEGIS Combat System and defense technologies
- Familiarity with modeling & simulation tools and large-scale integration
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (pay transparency): $83,000 – $108,000 per year, depending on experience and location
- Eligible for annual performance bonus; total rewards may include equity/incentive compensation where applicable

Location, Travel & Eligibility
- Work location: Chillum, MD (on-site or as required by client)
- Travel: Up to approximately 5% to nearby Navy facilities
- Employment contingent on background check, security investigation, and drug screening
- U.S. Citizenship required; candidate must be able to obtain a DoD clearance
