What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring an Electrical Design / Project Engineer to develop wiring harness systems for off‑highway equipment. This is an onsite role in Dubuque, IA. You will join an experienced engineering team and support new product development through design, review, troubleshooting, and manufacturing support.
- Route and develop wiring harnesses, ensuring integration with mechanical and electrical systems
- Create and modify wire‑harness models and drawings using Creo, ProCable and Capital Harness
- Participate in print reviews and formal design reviews for new product introductions
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams during builds and product launches
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical system issues on prototypes and production machines
- Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to identify design improvements
- Coordinate design changes with other design teams and suppliers
- Review and approve 2‑D harness drawings and support supplier/component selection
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude (demonstrable through work experience or hands‑on projects)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and commitments consistently
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment
- This position is onsite in Dubuque, IA. Visa sponsorship is NOT available — applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3‑D modeling software and electrical harness tools (preferred)
- Previous experience with Windchill or PDMLink
- Prior exposure to off‑road / off‑highway mobile equipment design
- Hands‑on experience with ProCable and Capital Harness Systems (CHS)
- Experience reading electrical schematics and translating them to harness designs
- Wire harness or cable design experience for vehicles
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
