Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Electrical Engineer in Pompano Beach, FL. This role supports design and drafting for power distribution, control panels, and other electrical equipment for an electrical equipment manufacturing operation. Open to entry-level candidates (recent graduates) and engineers with 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Design and support power distribution systems including switchboards, switchgear, and generators
- Produce and maintain 2D electrical drawings (one-lines, schematics, panel layouts) using CAD tools
- Perform electrical calculations and equipment sizing to ensure safe, reliable operation
- Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and contractors to meet project requirements and timelines
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD or a similar 2D electrical CAD program
- Experience with power distribution concepts and/or control panel design
- Strong understanding of electrical calculation methods and relevant codes (NEC, IEEE)
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-discipline teams
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Experience creating 3D models/designs in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools
- Previous experience in electrical equipment manufacturing or control panel fabrication
- Experience producing detailed fabrication and assembly drawings
