Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking Electrical Engineers at Entry, Mid, and Senior levels to support engineering and technical work in support of nuclear plant operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lincoln, IL. Candidates will perform engineering analyses, support modifications to electrical and control systems, and help ensure engineering deliverables meet regulatory, safety, and industry code requirements.


What you’ll do

  • Perform engineering and technical tasks assigned by supervision, applying standard engineering principles.
  • Ensure engineering products comply with safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support development and implementation of processes, procedures, and technical methodologies.
  • Recommend improvements to documentation, formats, and engineering workflows.
  • Support outage activities, emergency response, departmental coverage, and other assignments as required.
  • Participate in modifications to plant electrical and control systems, including logic changes and electrical system analyses (short circuit, load flow, logic, etc.).

Compensation & benefits

The source role provides level-specific pay guidance. Actual pay will depend on level and experience.

  • Entry-Level (E01): $87,000 (estimated)
  • Mid-Level (E02): $92,700 – $114,000 (estimated)
  • Senior (E03): $122,400 – $154,000 (estimated)

Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, bonus opportunities, employee stock purchase program, paid time off, disability and life insurance, and various wellbeing programs. Final compensation and benefits will be provided by the hiring organization.


Minimum qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Entry Level (E01)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
  • Ability to meet and maintain site access and medical/fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-Level (E02)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) plus ~2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Ability to meet and maintain site access and medical/fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior (E03)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) plus ~5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Ability to meet and maintain site access and medical/fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the role.

Preferred qualifications

  • Electrical engineering degree or concentration strongly preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification desirable.
  • Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) experience preferred.
  • Experience performing plant electrical and control system modifications (logic changes, short circuit and load flow analysis, protection and coordination, etc.).

Location & worksite

  • Worksite: Lincoln, IL (on-site at the plant/facility).
  • This role is not listed as remote; applicants should be able to work on-site and meet any site-specific access and medical requirements.
