Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer I to join their engineering team in Tega Cay, SC. This is a full-time, hybrid role focused on electrical system design, instrumentation & controls (I&C), and the production of engineering design documentation. The role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with early-career experience who are eager to develop practical skills using engineering software and established design standards.
What You’ll Do
- Provide electrical system engineering design, including wiring and instrumentation & controls (I&C) tasks
- Develop engineering design documents, calculations, and specifications following applicable standards and procedures
- Use and learn engineering software such as Mathcad, MATLAB, PSpice (or equivalents) to support analyses and design deliverables
- Collaborate with peers to gather technical information and participate in knowledge transfer activities
- Plan and schedule assigned work to meet project and department requirements
- Support occasional travel to client or project sites as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
- Demonstrated ability to apply core engineering coursework to practical design tasks (projects, internships, or coop experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with Mathcad, MATLAB, PSpice or comparable engineering analysis tools (willingness to learn new packages required)
- Good communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel to client sites when required
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $58,400 — $73,000 per year (dependent on experience, qualifications and skills)
