About the Role
Our confidential client is hiring an entry-level Electrical Engineer I (Marine) to join their engineering team in Custom House, LA. This hands-on role supports the design, integration, and installation of electrical and electronic systems for marine platforms. You will work with experienced engineers to develop cable routings, wiring diagrams, and component selections while gaining mentorship and growth opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Specification and selection of electrical and electronic components
- Select craft cabling and develop cable routings
- Create schematic and wiring diagrams
- Support component installations and interface junction box design
- Perform protective device analysis and coordination
- Conduct voltage drop and power analysis
- Work on electronics system interfaces
- Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and test teams
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project and program goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks or comparable CAD tools
- Solid understanding of cable routing, wiring schematic development, and basic power analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and follow engineering processes
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced marine/defense engineering environment
