Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer I to join a Fluid Systems engineering team in Huntington, CA. This role supports the design, test, and validation of electromechanical components used in aerospace and related high-reliability applications. Employment Type: Full-time (Contractor possible).
What You’ll Do
The Electrical Engineer I will work on assigned design tasks under general supervision and contribute to product development across electromechanical systems.
- Research, analyze, design, fabricate, modify, test, and evaluate circuitry for electronic devices, test boxes, and production/test equipment
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts to integrate motors, actuators, sensors and other electrical devices
- Select components and materials that meet aerospace performance, reliability, obsolescence, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and document hardware packages (schematics, theory of operation, BOMs, test procedures)
- Build and test prototypes; run simulations; collect and analyze test data; troubleshoot electrical issues and support corrective actions
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional engineering, project management, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders
- Apply lean product development practices and established engineering standards to complete assigned technical tasks
- Maintain technical knowledge through training, workshops, and reviewing technical literature
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BS) or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate — entry-level / early-career
- Fundamental knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory and practical circuit design
- Experience (academic, internship, or early professional) with schematic capture, PCB/layout fundamentals, and electrical test equipment
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded tools is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly report technical status and findings
- Able to work under general direction, prioritize assignments, and apply sound judgment in selecting methods and tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $74,105 to $123,470 annually (base salary)
