About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer I to join their Engineering team in Boston, MA. This is an early-career position in a hybrid work model (in-office Monday–Thursday; partial remote on Fridays) with opportunities for formal training through an Engineering Development Program. This posting is for a full-time, contract-position and supports remote work / telecommute options.
What You’ll Do
You will join project teams and support the design, documentation, and coordination of electrical and MEP systems across a variety of building projects.
- Create basic electrical designs under senior staff direction
- Perform CAD and BIM drafting (MEP AutoCAD; REVIT is a plus)
- Learn drawing organization and company standards
- Coordinate with other trades (architectural and engineering)
- Support design work for new installations, retrofits, replacements, and upgrades
- Assist with field investigations and site visits; attend coordination meetings
- Participate in the Engineer Development Training (EDT) program and continuing-education seminars
- Take ownership of assigned tasks for accuracy and timeliness
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is collaborative, eager to learn, and motivated to grow technically and professionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (graduation Winter 2026, Spring or Summer 2027)
- Previous engineering internship — a plus
- Proficient with MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with design/calculation software and MS Office
- FE / EIT certification preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Compensation
Boston Pay Range: $68,788—$98,182 USD (actual pay commensurate with experience, skills, and location)
Employment type: Full-time (Contract) — TELECOMMUTE / Hybrid options available.
