What You’ll Do
This role supports engineering work for power generation projects and day-to-day technical tasks under supervision. You will apply core engineering principles to analyze well-defined problems, assist senior engineers on larger projects, prepare routine reports, and support planning and cost-estimating activities designed to deliver safe, reliable electricity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist higher-level engineers with analysis, design tasks, and technical documentation for generation projects.
- Apply entry-level engineering theory to solve well-defined problems and perform routine calculations.
- Learn and follow industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to power generation equipment and systems.
- Contribute to project planning activities (CPM, PERT, flow charts), monitor project status, and help prepare cost estimates.
- Support development of technical reports and presentations; communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally.
- Coordinate with colleagues and other teams to complete routine engineering assignments.
- Use initiative to suggest process improvements and support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is preferred (entry-level/new graduates encouraged to apply).
- Passing or pursuit of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is encouraged and preferred.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology may qualify if they obtain a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Demonstrated communication skills, basic project planning familiarity, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn standards, codes, and business processes related to power generation.
- Note: Executive-level waiver may apply for non-ABET degrees in select cases.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation range (role posted in multiple grades): $74,551 — $128,688 per year (grade-dependent).
- Engineer/Engineer Technologist Associate: $74,551 — $93,188 / yr
- Engineer/Engineer Technologist: $87,633 — $109,542 / yr
- Engineer/Engineer Technologist Sr: $98,993 — $128,688 / yr

- Final grade and compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and relevant skills.
