Electrical Engineer
The Electrical Engineer will design and support low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, develop schematics and wiring diagrams, and program and troubleshoot controller systems including PLC and SCADA integration. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and compliance with industry standards, while providing engineering support for custom configurations and certification testing. The position is full-time and based onsite in Lake Crystal, MN.

What You’ll Do
This opportunity supports a Confidential Client engineering team focused on electrical systems and controls. You will design, document, and support low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems used in industrial equipment and power applications.
- Design and support low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems and components.
- Specify and integrate circuit breakers, contactors, relays, sensors, voltage regulators, control panels, and wiring harnesses.
- Create schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Program, test, and troubleshoot controller systems and PLC/HMI/SCADA integrations.
- Configure system logic, alarms, protections, and remote monitoring features.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Service to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation: BOMs, wiring diagrams, test plans, and installation guides.
- Support UL/certification testing and customer inspection processes, and ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g., UL2200, NFPA, CSA).
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of engineering experience in power generation, industrial electrical systems, or control systems preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged).
- Experience with electrical design software and CAD tools (AutoCAD or similar).
- Ability to read and develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
- Programming experience with PLCs, HMI, or SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with industrial safety and certification standards (UL, NFPA, CSA).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to work with cross-functional teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year. Final offer will consider qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
