Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Electrical Engineer (Entry / Mid / Senior levels considered) to support plant engineering and operations at a nuclear power generation facility near Crest Hill, IL. This role contributes to safe, compliant, and reliable plant operations through engineering support, technical analyses, and process improvements.
What You’ll Do
- Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned, applying standard engineering principles under general supervision.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications, and all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in developing and implementing processes, procedures, and techniques that support operations and compliance.
- Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard work products and processes.
- Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for plant systems and components to maintain safe, reliable operations.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, calculations, and engineering packages.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
- Apply industry codes and regulatory guidance to engineering decisions and deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardized engineering processes.
Minimum Qualifications

Entry Level (E01)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Ability to maintain any required site access / unescorted access, including passing medical examinations or testing applicable to the role. Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Mid-Level (E02)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) PLUS ~2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to maintain required site access / unescorted access and related medical/testing. Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Senior (E03)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) PLUS ~5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to maintain required site access / unescorted access and related medical/testing. Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical engineering bachelor’s degree.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Strong grasp of group techniques and solid understanding of the fundamental functions performed by the engineering group.
- Experience in power generation / nuclear plant engineering is highly desirable.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected base salary ranges (level-dependent):
- Entry-Level: $87,000
- Mid-Level: $92,700 – $114,000
- Senior: $122,400 – $154,000
