WHAT THIS ROLE OFFERS
Confidential Client is hiring an Electrical Engineer - Controls to join a power generation engineering team based in Fort Douglas, UT. This role accepts candidates from entry-level to senior experience and offers hands-on engineering work supporting plant operations and projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Electrical Engineer with a controls focus you will work with engineering and plant teams to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations and projects.
- Assist with electrical and controls engineering projects and implementations
- Support smaller projects and defined portions of larger capital or maintenance efforts
- Investigate technical issues and develop cost-effective electrical and controls solutions
- Assist with engineering studies, system testing, and troubleshooting activities
- Produce design recommendations, work packages, and improved procedures
- Gain hands-on exposure to instrumentation, PLCs, and power-generation systems in a structured plant environment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Electrical engineering background preferred
- Controls experience, education, or exposure (PLC, instrumentation, controls logic, etc.)
Preferred
- Internship or co-op experience in the energy or utilities sector
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification
- Experience with electrical systems, control systems, instrumentation, or power-generation equipment
