Overview

Confidential Client seeks an Electrical Engineer — Controls to join their engineering team supporting power‑generation facilities in Altoona, WI. This role accepts candidates across experience levels (entry-level through senior), and offers hands-on work on controls, instrumentation, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering projects that keep generation systems safe and reliable.

  • Location: Altoona, WI, US
  • Employment type: Full‑time (Contract option possible)
  • Compensation: $85,000–$120,000 per year (DOE) + 12% Short‑Term Incentive (STI)

What You’ll Do

As part of the engineering team you will collaborate with engineers and plant personnel to support projects and solve technical challenges across the facility. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Assist with electrical and controls engineering projects
  • Support smaller projects and defined portions of larger projects
  • Investigate technical issues and develop cost‑effective solutions
  • Assist with engineering studies, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Develop design recommendations and improved procedures
  • Gain hands‑on experience in a structured power‑generation environment

What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited college or university
  • Electrical engineering background preferred
  • Controls experience, education, or exposure

Preferred:

  • Internship or co‑op experience in the energy / power generation industry
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification
  • Experience with electrical, controls, instrumentation, or power‑generation systems
