Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Electrical (FPGA) Engineer to join their engineering team in Marlborough, MA. This is an onsite, full-time role that requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret). Applicants should have hands-on familiarity with RTL design and a strong interest in firmware/FPGA design.
What You’ll Do
- Support requirements capture and FPGA digital architecture.
- Implement FPGA digital designs using RTL (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog).
- Support verification and system integration of FPGA implementations.
- Work within cross-functional engineering teams to meet project milestones.

- How ASICs and FPGAs are used in communications, security, and space-based products.
- Use of cutting-edge vendor and in-house FPGA toolchains and workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field by start date.
- Experience or familiarity with RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate across teams with aggressive schedules.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FPGA design tools (Modelsim, Quartus, Vivado).
- Programming experience in C, MATLAB, or scripting languages.
- Familiarity with revision control (Git, Subversion).
- Prior internships, leadership experience, or strong firmware design interest.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $57,200 - $108,800 per year (good-faith estimate covering all experience levels).

- Relocation eligibility may apply.
