What You’ll Do
As an entry-level Electrical Engineer 1 working for Confidential Client in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will contribute to the design, development, verification, and sustainment of digital hardware for avionics and high-performance computing products. Typical responsibilities include:
- Use and apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware.
- Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations, and Design-to-Cost (DTC) teams to meet requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work on designs using digital logic (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD), embedded processors, and various memory technologies.
- Support production troubleshooting and sustainment activities as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field completed by the start date. (Relevant experience may include coursework, research, projects, or internships.)
Preferred / Helpful Skills
- Knowledge of digital circuit design parameters (throughput, clocking, propagation delay).
- Experience or familiarity with processors, memory architectures, and embedded device interfacing (processor, graphics, FPGA).
- Schematic capture for digital/mixed-signal circuits and understanding of PCB layout/routing rules.
- Experience with bus/interface technologies such as Ethernet, I2C, USB, LVDS, SERDES.
- Familiarity with DDR memory interfaces, ASIC/FPGA workflows, or high-speed digital design.
Location & Work Type
- This role is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. Candidates must be able to work primarily at the Cedar Rapids facility.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 — $108,800 USD per year. Final pay will depend on role level, experience, location, and skills.
- Benefit eligibility may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, parental leave, and other programs depending on business unit and hire status.
- Relocation eligibility may be available for qualified candidates.
