What You'll Do

  • Design, analyze, simulate and test Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for avionics computers (processors, FPGAs, memory, and high‑speed interfaces).
  • Perform schematic capture for mixed‑signal digital/analog electrical circuit designs.
  • Operate lab equipment to execute integration and verification testing on hardware designs.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects, and Manufacturing/Operations to meet product requirements.
  • Consider testability, signal/power integrity, and thermal management during board and system design.
  • Support hardware bring‑up, troubleshooting, and documentation for integration activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field obtained prior to start.
  • Familiarity with electronic circuit development and multi‑assembly system or unit design (experience may come from on‑the‑job work, coursework, research, or projects).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret). Note: an active/existing clearance may be required per the client’s needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience taking designs from block diagrams or requirements through to hardware implementation, verification, and system integration.
  • Hands‑on experience with schematic capture and PCB design processes.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation tools.
  • Basic exposure to high‑speed digital interfaces and FPGA/processor based designs.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage assigned tasks independently.

Location & Clearance

  • Onsite — Cedar Rapids, IA (work primarily performed at client facilities).
  • This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Some steps of the interview process may be required in person at a client location.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (good‑faith estimate): $57,200 — $108,800 USD per year. Final offers consider role level, experience, location, education, and skills.
  • Benefit highlights (may vary by business unit): medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, parental leave, and access to training/education programs. Additional incentive programs may apply for eligible roles.
