What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for commercial and institutional facilities.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform electrical analyses, equipment selection, and code-compliance reviews (NEC and applicable local codes).
  • Support project estimating, construction documentation, and field observations.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and clients throughout all phases of project delivery.
  • Assist with construction administration, including reviewing contractor work and preparing project documentation.
  • Contribute to project meetings, deliverable schedules, and quality-control checks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (accredited program).
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, successful completion of the FE exam, or actively pursuing EIT/FE.
  • Approximately 3+ years of electrical engineering or MEP design experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a multi-discipline MEP engineering team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with commercial or institutional building projects (lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, etc.).
  • Prior construction administration or field observation experience.
  • Familiarity with project estimating and contract documentation.

Compensation & Location

  • Estimated base salary: $53,689 per year (estimated).
  • Location: Balcones / Austin area, TX — on-site at the client’s project offices or project sites as required.
  • Benefits and additional compensation details will be provided by the Confidential Client during the hiring process.
