What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electrical Designer to support electrical engineering design for commercial, industrial, municipal, and higher-education projects. This is a hands-on role focused on drafting, redlining, and producing contract drawings while you build skills in electrical plans, specifications, and calculations.

• Provide engineering support to licensed electrical engineers on a variety of public- and private-sector projects.
• Assist in designing, analyzing, and developing electrical systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Produce and revise electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Redline drawings, prepare markups, and maintain accurate design documentation and reports.
• Support preparation of electrical calculations and specifications under senior engineer guidance.
• Perform occasional site visits to document existing conditions, verify installations, and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to communicate design intent and progress.
• Manage multiple project tasks and deliverables while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Stay current on industry trends and code updates relevant to electrical power design.

Essential Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in electrical engineering or electrical design (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, distribution, and applicable electrical codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Revit for electrical design.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and common productivity tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in teams.
• Self-motivated with a clear desire to learn and grow in an engineering practice.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Relevant internships or co-op experience in electrical design or engineering.
• Experience on municipal, land-bank renovation, state, or higher-education projects.
• Familiarity with additional electrical design tools and workflow automation.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and constructive meeting participation.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Hybrid schedule: typically 2 days remote / 3 days onsite at the Cheektowaga office (or client/project sites) as needed.
• Occasional travel to project sites for field verification and progress checks.
• Collaborative office environment with mentorship from experienced electrical engineers and structured project workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year (offer within range depends on experience, skills, and other job-related factors).
