Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an EHS Coordinator (night shift) to support Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at a manufacturing facility in Bossier City, LA. This is a full‑time, permanent role focused on hazard recognition, inspections, training, and program support. Entry‑level candidates with strong motivation and a willingness to learn are encouraged — training and mentorship will be provided.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and implement standard EHS programs (PPE, Respiratory Protection, Hazard Communication, JSA, etc.) with provided training.
- Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and track corrective actions.
- Review incidents, support investigations, and follow through on corrective action plans.
- Develop Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and deliver safety awareness and training sessions.
- Participate in safety meetings and emergency response planning.
- Assist with risk assessments and contribute to continuous improvement of EHS programs.
- Maintain accurate records and support regulatory compliance efforts.
- Perform additional duties related to workplace safety as assigned.
Qualifications
- Relevant coursework, EHS certifications, or demonstrated interest in Environmental Health & Safety preferred.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
- Entry‑level candidates with willingness to learn and participate in training are encouraged; mentorship provided.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insurable under company policy.
- Ability to pass any site required background or screening checks.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Willingness to learn EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Comfortable working both in office settings and on the manufacturing floor.
- Demonstrated safety mindset and ability to influence safe work behaviors.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb, and perform inspections throughout the facility.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions typical of a manufacturing facility.
Schedule & Location
- Location: Bossier City, Louisiana (onsite).
- Schedule: Night shift (SBST / nights). Full‑time, permanent position.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary: $60,702 per year (estimated).
