Overview
This Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is a three-year rotational program for entry-level engineers (EE / ME / SW) designed to build technical depth and leadership capability across product groups in defense and aerospace. Rotations typically last 9–12 months and expose participants to cross-functional engineering, systems work, and business skills. Successful candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.
What You’ll Do
The ELDP prepares early-career engineers to become technical and business leaders through hands-on rotations, mentorship, and formal training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions for defense and aerospace customers
- Execute technical design, test, and integration tasks under mentor guidance
- Complete two to three 9–12 month rotations across engineering disciplines and product lines
- Participate in weekly technical courses and quarterly leadership development sessions
- Attend annual conferences and network with program peers and senior leaders
- Opportunity to pursue a part-time graduate degree with tuition reimbursement
Required Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance
- For ELDP I: Bachelor’s degree completed by June 2027
- For ELDP II: Master’s degree by June 2027 OR 2 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership potential, and strong written/verbal communication skills
- Active participation in extracurriculars, internships, or project work that shows initiative and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or computer science (GPA 3.0+ preferred)
- Relevant majors: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Optical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Math, Physics
- Coursework or project experience in systems engineering, embedded software, electronics, modeling & simulation, or test/verification
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time salary range: $64,926 – $110,374 (market-based; final offer depends on skills, experience, location, and internal equity)
