About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level engineers into an Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) — an accelerated, rotational engineering development program designed to build technical and leadership capability. This is a hands-on, product-focused role where you will complete multiple rotations (hardware, software, or integrated systems) and receive structured technical training, mentorship, and leadership development.
What You’ll Do
- Complete three ~8-month rotations working on product development across areas such as diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, surgical navigation, software platforms, digital health, and patient monitoring.
- Design, prototype, test, and help deliver healthcare-oriented products from concept through production.
- Apply and deepen core engineering skills through project work and advanced technical curriculum.
- Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, including requirements, design, verification, validation, and post-market activities.
- Work closely with technical mentors and assignment leaders to develop both technical and professional (communication, teamwork, leadership) skills.
- Lead or participate in committees and continuous-improvement initiatives to improve programs, products, and processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree completed by July 2027 in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related engineering/design field.
- Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical issues clearly and influence team decisions.
- Evidence of leadership, teamwork, and adaptability in academic, internship, or project settings.
- Willingness to be based in the Waukesha, WI area and flexibility to rotate to other program sites as needed.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (the employer will not sponsor visas for this position).
Preferred Qualifications
- GPA of 3.0+ is a plus, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Prior internship, co-op, research, or project experience in hardware/software/firmware design, digital design, RF/wireless, diagnostic imaging, patient monitoring, embedded systems, AI/data analytics, or related areas.
- Experience working in regulated industries or through a full design cycle.
- Project management experience delivering prototypes or products with cross-functional teams.
- Growth mindset — eagerness to learn, adapt, and take direction from mentors.
If software-focused:
- Experience with object-oriented design and languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, MATLAB, Perl, UNIX/Linux.
- Familiarity with agile development, data analytics, or machine learning is a plus.
If hardware-focused:
- Strong mechanical or electrical engineering fundamentals, simulation, testing, prototyping, and product development experience.
- Experience with CAD and simulation tools (e.g., Creo, Ansys, GENESIS), embedded systems, power electronics, or controls is a plus.
Location & Relocation
- Primary work location: Waukesha, WI (53189). Candidates should be willing to be based in the Waukesha area.
- Rotations may require temporary relocation or assignment at other company sites; relocation assistance is available for on-program assignments as required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base: $150,676 per year (estimated; provided by source).
