What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level software role in their Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP), a structured 3-year rotational program based in Strathmoor Manor, KY. You’ll join embedded software teams working on connected appliances and platform tooling. Typical responsibilities include:

• Develop production C code and scripting/tooling using languages such as Lua and JavaScript
• Work in resource-constrained embedded environments (generally no heap; primarily bare-metal, with some RTOS projects)
• Participate in Agile team ceremonies (planning, daily standups, retrospectives)
• Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD) and write 100% unit-tested code
• Use Git for version control and participate in continuous integration pipelines
• Bench test and support Software Quality Assurance activities
• Rotate across 4–6 teams (most rotations ~6 months; one rotation may be ~1 year) to broaden experience
• Contribute to IoT and connectivity features, making appliances highly debuggable and connected
• Mentor software co-ops and act as a "buddy" to new team members
• Attend targeted trainings and (where applicable) software conferences supported by Confidential Client

Who You Are (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Cumulative GPA >= 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Available to work on-site in Strathmoor Manor, KY for the duration of the program

• Strong work ethic and effective interpersonal/communication skills
• Relevant coursework in embedded systems, software engineering, or related areas
• Completed two or more co-op rotations or internships prior to graduation
