What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to support building-structure projects in Manhattan, NY. You will join a Property & Buildings team and assist with the analysis, design, and delivery of safe, code-compliant structural solutions on residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.

• Assist with structural design and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems
• Develop structural models and engineering calculations using industry-standard software
• Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and drawings
• Support construction administration activities and collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors
• Help verify site conditions and assist with inspections and documentation
• Follow applicable building codes, industry standards, and client quality requirements
• Complete assigned training and grow technical skills under senior engineer supervision

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline)
• 0–1 years of relevant post-education experience
• Basic analytical and design skills; ability to solve technical problems with supervision
• Familiarity with structural design software (examples: SAFE, ETABS, RAM Structural Systems, Sp Column, AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Excel)
• Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and construction compliance practices
• Competent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to meet project schedules and work within budget under supervision
• Ability to work in the United States immediately

Preferred

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Prior internships or practical experience in structural engineering
• Active participation in local professional organizations

Compensation & Benefits

• Employment type: Full-time
• Expected salary range (provided by client): $72,700 – $100,000 per year
• The client provides a benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement savings, paid leave, and other company-specific benefits.
• This salary range is the client’s good-faith estimate and final offer will depend on education, experience, skills, and geographic considerations.

• Job location: Manhattan, New York (on-site or client-determined project sites)
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs
• Ability to work extended or project-conducive schedules when required
• The selected candidate must have the legal ability to work in the United States immediately
