What You’ll Do
This entry-level engineering role supports design, development, testing, and inspection of high-purity/process water and general plumbing systems for building and infrastructure projects within the Property & Buildings practice. You will work under general supervision, learning on the job while contributing to real projects.
- Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing site data from surveys, blueprints, schematics, and field observations.
- Support basic plumbing and process water system design: load calculations, layout, equipment selection, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Help with research, concept development, installation, operation, and maintenance considerations for plumbing, fire protection/suppression, and fluid flow systems.
- Prepare clear, accurate documentation, drawings, specifications, and field notes using electronic tools and CAD/BIM software.
- Participate in site inspections, testing, and verification to ensure work conforms to applicable codes, permits, and project specifications.
- Follow site safety protocols and company procedures; complete assigned training.
- Communicate technical information professionally to engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
- Perform other project-related tasks and support team priorities as required. Occasional travel and flexible project schedules may be needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Plumbing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 0–1 years of relevant post‑education experience (entry-level / early career).
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical system codes, regulations, and record-keeping practices.
- Basic understanding of design/build concepts and engineering design requirements.
- Proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with discipline-specific design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and take direction while working independently or in a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow health & safety policies.
- Ability to work in the United States immediately.
Preferred
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
- Relevant internship experience.
- Participation in local professional practice organizations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected salary range (all locations): $68,200 – $102,400 (Confidential Client provides this good-faith range; final offer may vary based on experience, location, and other factors).
