What You’ll Do

This entry-level engineering role supports design, documentation, and field verification for plumbing, fire protection, and process water systems on building and infrastructure projects. Under general supervision you will:

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing field data, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Support basic design tasks for high-purity water, process water, and general plumbing systems
• Help perform load calculations, sizing, and operating strategy checks to ensure proper installation and function
• Assist with research, inspections, and code conformity reviews for plumbing and fire protection systems
• Prepare clear, accurate documentation, specifications, and field notes using electronic systems and CAD tools
• Follow site safety guidelines and company procedures; complete assigned training
• Perform other entry-level engineering duties as needed to support project teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Plumbing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• 0–1 years of relevant post-education experience (entry-level)
• Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical systems, applicable codes, and construction practices
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences
• Self-directed with strong time management and ability to work under general supervision or as part of a team
• Ability to abide by workplace safety, health, and conduct policies
• Ability to work in the United States immediately; occasional travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Prior internship or co-op experience in plumbing or mechanical engineering
• Active participation in local professional organizations

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation range: $68,200 - $102,400 per year (range provided in good faith by our client and subject to experience and location)
