What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support Property & Buildings projects in Atlanta, GA. Under general supervision you will assist in the design, analysis, and documentation of mechanical systems with a focus on HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and controls.

  • Support collection, compilation, and analysis of field data, surveys, drawings, and technical reports for project development.
  • Assist with site inspections, research, and evaluation of existing and proposed mechanical systems for code and performance compliance.
  • Help perform basic load calculations, equipment sizing, and develop operating strategies for HVAC and hydronic systems.
  • Prepare clear, concise documentation, technical notes, and specifications using electronic systems and CAD tools.
  • Contribute to design reviews and coordinate basic mechanical design tasks with multi-discipline project teams.
  • Follow project-specific safety procedures, quality standards, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Complete assigned training and tasks on schedule; escalate issues and seek guidance when needed.
  • Occasional travel to project sites may be required.

What We’re Looking For

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
  • 0–1 years of post-graduate experience (new graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, hydronic, and plumbing system concepts and basic design/build processes.
  • Working knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and compliance basics.
  • Basic proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar discipline-specific design software) and common office tools (spreadsheets, word processing).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical information to varied audiences.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work in the United States immediately.

Preferred qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Internship or co-op experience relevant to mechanical engineering and building systems.
  • Active participation in local professional organizations (optional).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Expected salary range (all locations): $68,200 – $93,800 per year.
  • Confidential Client provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, parental leave, and other employee programs.
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • This position may require schedules that extend beyond a typical workweek depending on project needs.
