Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer to support mission-critical and data center projects. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent electrical engineering graduate or someone with 0–1 years of relevant experience who wants hands-on exposure to substation, power distribution, and protection & control systems in large capital projects.

What You’ll Do

• Assist under general supervision with data collection, compilation, and analysis for substation components and power distribution systems.
• Support development of procurement packages by compiling equipment specifications and preliminary pricing input.
• Help prepare single-line and three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and substation layouts.
• Perform entry-level calculations for loads, equipment sizing, feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, and lighting circuits.
• Contribute to grounding grid design, lightning protection, and conduit/trenching strategies that meet safety and code requirements.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation, electronic drawings, and field logs.
• Support site verifications and provide basic technical assistance on construction, testing, and maintenance procedures.
• Complete assigned training and follow company safety and compliance policies.
• Occasionally travel to project sites as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–1 years relevant post-education experience.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles applied to large capital projects and mission-critical facilities.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and record-keeping (e.g., IEEE/NESC/NERC).
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, spreadsheets, and office software.
• Familiarity with discipline-specific design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, CADD).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and willingness to work under general supervision.
• Ability to follow safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Prior internship experience in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Participation in local professional practice organizations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Expected pay range: $82,000 - $100,000 per year (provided in good faith by the employer; final offer may vary based on experience, location, and other factors).
