What You’ll Do

Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Civil Engineer to support infrastructure planning, design, and construction activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to public and private sector projects and is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to one year of relevant experience.

  • Assist with collecting and analyzing site data (surveys, blueprints, GIS, subsurface utilities, geotechnical reports).
  • Support basic design tasks and concept development for roads, bridges, utilities, and site infrastructure.
  • Perform routine field inspections and help verify site conditions against plans and permitting requirements.
  • Produce accurate, concise documentation: field notes, drawing markups, reports, and engineering deliverables.
  • Follow safety and site procedures; record safety observations and comply with jobsite rules.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and technical staff to deliver assigned tasks on time.
  • Complete assigned training and follow Confidential Client policies and professional standards.
  • Occasional travel to project sites in support of project needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 0–1 years of post-education relevant experience (entry-level).
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to technical detail.
  • Familiarity with design/build concepts and basic civil construction regulations, codes, and compliance practices.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable using office software (spreadsheets, word processing) and basic technical tools.
  • Demonstrated self-leadership, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and work under general supervision.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow health, safety, and harassment policies.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as project needs require; occasional travel may be required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Confidential Client will comply with applicable sponsorship policies).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward EIT.
  • Experience with discipline-specific software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, InRoads, or similar tools.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in civil engineering or related disciplines.
  • Active membership or participation in local engineering/professional organizations.
