What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Civil Engineer to support design, development, and construction of public- and private-sector infrastructure projects. Working under general supervision, you will assist project teams with data collection, site inspections, technical documentation, and basic design tasks that help deliver safe, functional infrastructure.

• Support data collection and analysis from field surveys, blueprints, GIS, subsurface utility information, maps, and geotechnical reports
• Perform entry-level research and inspections of existing and proposed site conditions
• Assist with routine civil engineering design tasks and drafting deliverables
• Produce accurate, concise documentation (electronic files, drawings, field notes)
• Follow safety procedures and site-specific guidelines during field work
• Complete assigned training and follow company policies, including ethical conduct and safety standards
• Coordinate with team members to meet project schedules and client requirements
• Travel occasionally to project sites as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
• 0–1 years of relevant experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Familiarity with design/build concepts, civil construction codes, regulations, and compliance basics
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
• Comfortable working independently with general supervision and as part of multidisciplinary teams
• Basic proficiency with office software (spreadsheets, word processing) and technical writing
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies
• Ability to work schedules that may extend beyond a typical workweek when project needs require it
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Familiarity with discipline-specific software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, InRoads, etc.)
• Prior internship or co-op experience in civil engineering
• Active participation in local professional organizations

• Job location: Lexington, KY (on-site / field work as required)
