Position overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking an Early Career Civil Engineer based in Fort Logan, CO. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience supporting civil and environmental infrastructure projects, working with multidisciplinary teams, and learning design, field investigation, and construction quality assurance under general supervision.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing field and plan data (surveys, GIS, subsurface utility info, geotechnical reports) to support project development and design.
- Support basic civil engineering tasks including site inspections, research, and evaluation of existing infrastructure and site conditions.
- Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements, safety/usability considerations, and operating strategies for infrastructure systems.
- Perform construction quality assurance (CQA) tasks on earthworks and geosynthetic liner installations as directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate documentation (field notes, drawings, electronic records) and contribute to deliverables.
- Comply with site safety procedures and company policies; complete assigned training.
- Work collaboratively with engineering staff and other stakeholders; perform additional duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 0–1 years of post-education relevant experience (entry-level).
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Familiarity with design/build concepts, civil construction codes, regulations, and record-keeping.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to work independently under general supervision and effectively as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, and technical writing.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, and anti-harassment policies.
- Ability to work project-driven schedules; occasional travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, or similar discipline-specific tools.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in civil/environmental engineering.
- Active participation in local professional organizations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected salary (Colorado): $65,600 - $98,400 (range provided for Fort Logan, CO candidates). Final pay will depend on experience, education, and location, and may vary in accordance with applicable law.

Location & Travel
- Primary job location: Fort Logan, CO (on-site or hybrid arrangements depend on project needs).
