This Opportunity
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Architecture professional to provide local technical assistance for the design, conceptual development, and construction of building projects in the public and private sectors. You will support concept visualization, prepare drawings, specifications, budgets, and construction documents, and help develop and present design proposals. The role emphasizes accurate deliverables that meet industry standards for design, safety, structural integrity, and occupancy.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in preparing detailed drawings showing both external and internal appearance and structure of building projects.
- Collect, compile, and analyze site data from surveys, blueprints, GIS, subsurface utility information, maps, environmental data, and historical records.
- Support research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions to ensure conformance with applicable rules, codes, and permits.
- Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements, building concepts, and occupant safety and functionality.
- Help verify site characteristics and contribute to assessments of structural soundness.
- Produce accurate 2D/3D visualizations, renderings, and technical documentation.
- Complete assigned training and follow company policies, including health, safety, and conduct standards.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet project and business needs.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a closely related discipline.
- 0–1 years of relevant post-education experience.
- Knowledge of architectural principles, drawing standards, design, and construction management.
- Strong creative visualization and technical drawing skills.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping.
- Basic proficiency with discipline-specific software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-directed with strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work schedules that meet project requirements; occasional travel may be required.
Preferred
- Prior internship experience related to your degree.
- Membership or active participation in local professional practice organizations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected salary range: $58,200 - $96,030 per year.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement savings, paid sick leave, paid vacation/personal time, paid parental leave, and paid time off for bereavement, voting, or naturalization proceedings.
