What You’ll Do

This entry-level/associate software engineering role supports development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise software. You will work on code, debugging, and QA tasks while receiving mentorship from senior engineers in a structured early-career training program.

  • Assist in developing and enhancing software applications and system components
  • Write, run, and support unit and integration tests; contribute to QA efforts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues with guidance from senior engineers
  • Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and CI/CD practices
  • Contribute to debugging, maintenance, and performance improvements of existing systems
  • Document processes, updates, and technical solutions for team knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with product owners, QA, and cross-functional team members to meet project goals

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Foundational knowledge of software development concepts, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience with at least one programming language (examples: Java, Python, C++)
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and basic development tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN (see Work Model below)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or 1–2 years of related software development experience
  • Familiarity with debugging tools, automated testing frameworks, or CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working on team or project-based environments (Agile/Scrum)
  • Exposure to enterprise development stacks or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Compensation & Work Model

  • Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour (hourly rate)
  • Employment type: Full-time; 6–12 month contract-to-hire engagement
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN — Onsite with plan to transition to hybrid (per confidential client)
  • Offers and any pre-employment screenings (background checks, drug tests) will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state laws
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; the confidential client will comply with all applicable employment verification and immigration laws
